MOTHER'S PECAN PIE

Backstory

My Mother ALWAYS gets asked to make the Pecan Pies for Holidays. Try it and you'll know why!

Ingredients

  • 3 lg eggs, sl beaten
  • 1 cup sugar (1/2 to all brown)
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 9" pie crust
  • 1¼ cups pecans (whole or broken)

Directions

  • Mix ingredients well and pour into 9" pie crust (which has been partly precooked if desired). Pour pecans over top.
  • Bake at 350° for 50 to 55 minutes. (decrease in "jiggle" when shaken from side to side). Cover with aluminium foil for last 15 minutes if top too brown.
