Simple and sweet.


  • Crust:
  • 1/2 c unsalted butter
  • 1 c all purpose flour
  • 1 c granulated sugar
  • 1 c milk
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • Filling:
  • 6-8 cps sliced peaches fresh or frozen (thawed)
  • 1/4 c lemon juice
  • 3/4c orange juice
  • 1 c granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c butter
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch


  • Preheat the oven to 375°F degrees.
  • Put the butter in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish place in oven until melted.
  • In medium bowl, combine the flour, 1 cup of sugar, baking powder, and salt; mix well and set aside.
  • Combine peaches, lemon juice and orange juice.
  • Heat peaches, juices and butter in a saucepan over medium heat until butter is melted.
  • Mix in sugar, spices and cornstarch; remove from heat and set aside while you finish the crust.
  • Add the milk to the crust and stir until just combined.
  • Pour the batter over the butter. DO NOT mix together.
  • Pour the peaches over the batter, but do not stir in; sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown. Serve warm or cold.
