MY RECIPE FOR BENIHANA SALAD DRESSING

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup peanut oil
  • 3 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh ginger root
  • 1 tablespoon chopped celery
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons tomato paste
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • dash each salt and pepper

Directions

  • Combine all ingredients in blender container or work bowl of food
  • processor fitted with steel knife; process until almost smooth. Makes 6 servings, about 2 tablespoons + 2 teaspoons each (unused portions may be stored in a covered container in the refrigerator).
