NANAIMO BARS SECOND AND THIRD LAYER

Ingredients

  • Second Layer:
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp. and 2 tsps. cream
  • 2 tbsp. vanilla custard powder
  • 2 cups icing sugar
  • Third Layer:
  • 4 squares semi-sweet chocolate (1 oz. each)
  • 2 tbsp. unsalted butter

Directions

  • Second Layer:
  • Cream the butter, cream, custard powder and icing sugar together, beat until it's light and spread over the bottom layer.
  • Third Layer:
  • Melt the chocolate and butter over low heat and cool.
  • Once it's cooled but still a liquid, pour over the second layer and chill in the refrigerator.
