Nanny Kirkpatrick's Corn Pudding
Why I Love This Recipe
My grandmother always made this for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I always requested it and was never disappointed with this sweet and creamy dish. This recipe was told to me by my Nanny just based on her memory, as she has never actually written the recipe down. To me, this makes it even more special.
Ingredients You'll Need
Unsalted butter, for greasing the baking dish
1 can corn
2 cans cream style corn
1/3 to 1/2 cup sugar - mix with 2 tablespoons of flour
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Use the stick of butter to grease the sides and bottom of the baking dish. Nanny always used a deep casserole dish - 3-4 inches deep. If using a shallower dish, cooking time may need to be reduced.
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl and pour into the greased baking dish.
Bake at 350 degrees. When the edges start to cook, stir once. Place back into the oven and bake until set. Total cooking time is around 45 minutes.
