Non-Cheese, but not Vegan, Mac and Cheese

Why I Love This Recipe

I try not to eat much cheese so I rarely have it around the house. On the other hand, I do try to eat as much yogurt as I can since it’s my main calcium source. So whenever I get that craving for comforting Mac and Cheese this is what I make. It soothes that craving every time and is pretty good for you.


Ingredients You'll Need

This is for one serving but you could easily up the recipe.

whole wheat pasta of choice ( I like bowties or rainbow shells)
1/2-3/4 C. yogurt
1/2 C. nutritional yeast
dash salt
dash cayenne pepper
dash cracked pepper

I often add spinach or broccoli too for some veg.


Directions

while the pasta is cooking just mix all the other ingredients up in your bowl that you plan to eat out of.


Salt and pepper to taste. It will warm up as the rest cooks.


Then drain your pasta, dump over the sauce, and mix to eat.
