NORM'S PIONEER STEW

Ingredients

  • 10-20 lbs beef roast, wild venison, and kielbasa
  • 1 cup of flour
  • about a bushel of assorted vegetables from your garden or local farmer's market; potatoes, carrots, onions, green beans, corn, cabbage, tomatoes, peas, lima beans, etc
  • 10 gallons of water

Directions

  • DIRECTIONS
  • Dredge meat in flour and brown in very large pot over an open flame. Add oil and salt as needed to prevent sticking.
  • Add vegetables and water. Stir over medium flame until flavors blend and you can no longer resist the aroma. Serve with crusty bread and cold beer.

Notes

The summer I was fifteen, my dad made free stew for our whole town.
