Ingredients

Crust:
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 stick margarine or butter
2/3 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon milk
Filling:
3 pkgs. (8 oz. each) cream cheese
1-1/2 cups sour cream
2 cups sugar
3 teaspoons vanilla
6 eggs
Topping:
1-1/2 cups sour cream
sugar to taste
2 teaspoons vanilla


Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Set aside. Cream margarine or butter, sugar, and vanilla, then add milk and beat mixture well. Add eggs and beat well. Next add dry ingredients gradually and mix well.



Take 9x13x2-inch pans and grease them. Pour the cake mixture and spread over the bottom and the sides of the pan. Don't be worried if it looks like there isn't much cake batter. The recipe calls only for enough to spread


over the bottom and sides of the pan. Bake at 325ºF for one hour. Remove from oven.



Meanwhile, cream together cream cheese, sour cream, and sugar. Add vanilla and mix well. Add eggs 2 at a time and beat well. Set aside.



Pour cream cheese mixture over baked cake and bake in an oven heated to 325ºF for 1 hour. Take out of oven and spread over the top of cake with the topping mixture: Return to oven for 5 minutes. Then remove and cool well before cutting or topping with strawberries, blueberries, cherries, or just eat it plain!



Topping mixture directions: Mix well.
