1 cup plus 3 tbsp flour, divided
1 cup quick-cooking oats, uncooked
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup butter, melted
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped pecans
3/4 cup caramel ice-cream topping
Combine one cup of the flour, the oats, brown sugar, baking soda, salt, and the melted butter.
Blend with an electric mixer on low speed to form a crumbly mixture.
Press half into an ungreased 11 x 7 inch baking dish.
Bake at 350 F for 10 minutes.
Remove from the oven.
Sprinkle with the chocolate chips and the pecans.
Combine the topping and the remaining flour.
Drizzle over the top.
Sprinkle with the remaining crumb mixture.
Bake an additional 15 to 20 minutes or until golden.
Chill for 1 to 2 hours.
Cut into bars.
