This recipe came from my mother-in-law who is now deceased. These are very good cookies I hope everyone likes them as much as we do.

  • 2 cups oatmeal
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 heaping teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup margarine
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 4-5 teaspoons of milk

  • Dissolve 1 teaspoon soda in 4-5 teaspoons of milk. (The amount depends on how moist your dough will be) Mix dry ingredients as you do in a pie crust. Beat 2 eggs and add the eggs and vanilla to the dry ingredients. Mix together well.
  • Form into balls with hands and flatten slightly on a cookie sheet.
  • Lightly spray cookie sheet or use a baking sheet. I bake mine at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. I usually do mine for 8-9 minutes then you will have a moist cookie.
