- 2 1/2 cups 2% low fat milk
- 1 1/2 cup Quaker Oats
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Bring milk to a boil while stirring frequently.
- When milk is boiling, add raisins and oats;cook on medium heat for about 7 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Add cinnamon and stir. Add palm sugar or raw sugar to taste.

NotesI have lived in the USA since 1958, but still cannot get used to how Americans prepare oatmeal. I still prepare it the Dutch way. My wife who was born and raised here looks forward when I prepare oatmeal.
