OATMEAL COOKIES

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup margarine (room temperature)
  • 1 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 2 cups oats

Directions

  • In a mixing bowl mix margarine and 1/2 flour and the other ingredients. Beat till thoroughly mixed, then slowly add remaining flour. Stir in oats.
  • Drop by teaspoons on an ungreased cookie sheet about two inches apart. Bake 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Makes about 48 cookies.
