OATMEAL RAISIN COOKIES

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp allspice
  • 3/4 cup coarsley chopped pecans
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 egg slightly beaten
  • 1/3 cup buttermilk
  • 3/4 cup quick rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup raisins

Directions

  • Pre heat oven to 350
  • Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, ground cloves and allspice. Set aside
  • Cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy
  • Fold in flour mixture and buttermilk, alternately
  • Fold in oats, raisins and pecans
  • Drop about 2 tbls - 2 inches apart on lightly buttered cookie sheet and flatten
  • Bake about 10 to 15 minutes or until nicely browned and cooked through.
