Octopus with rice
1 οctopus-cleaned and cut in pieces
35.2 oz cherry tomatoes
17.6 oz onions-sliced
11.2 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil
1 pinch nutmeg
3 cups water
7 oz long grain white rice
Pairs Well With
Step 1: Place the octopus in a saucepan with a little water and boil it on low heat together with the onions, olive oil and oregano, until tender.
Step 2: When it is almost ready, add the tomatoes, the rest of the water, the rice, nutmeg, salt and pepper and allow it all to simmer together.
Step 3: Serve in deep soup plates while it is still hot and garnish with the finely chopped parsley.
