OHIO BROWNIES

Ingredients

  • 1-cup sugar
  • 1 stick butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 1-16oz can chocolate syrup
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup nuts (optional)
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips

Directions

  • Cream: Butter and Sugar
  • Add: Eggs, syrup, flour, vanilla and nuts (if using).
  • Pour into a lightly greased 11x17 jellyroll pan.
  • Bake 30 minutes at 350.
  • For a more cake like brownie bake in a 9x13 pan.
  • Frosting: Bring sugar, butter and milk to a boil; boil for about 1 minute more.
  • In a small heatproof bowl, add chocolate chips.
  • Pour sugar mixture over chips and beat until thick enough to spread.
  • Pour over warm brownies.
