INGREDIENTS

  • Cooking Time: 25
  • Servings: 6
  • Preparation Time: 20
  • 3 cups okra,cut into 3/4" pieces
  • 6 large tomatoes, washed, and cut into wedges
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 4 Tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • salt and pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS

Put all into a medium-size saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer, cover, and cook for 20 to 25 minutes. Check okra, if it can be easily poked with a fork then it's done, if not, leave on for a few more minutes. Serve hot.
