Why I Love This Recipe


Ingredients You'll Need

2/3 cup butter
2/3 cup powdered sugar
1/3 cup CANE syrup (not corn syrup)
1/3 cup molasses
1 teaspoon real vanilla
2 large eggs
1 3/4 cup sifted all-purpose flour
1/8 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp ginger
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1 cup chopped toasted pecans


Directions

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Stir in cane syrup, molasses and vanilla. Beat in eggs. Sift together the flour, spices and baking soda; add to first mixture, blending well. Stir in chopped nuts. Spread batter in two generously greased 9-inch square pans. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.
