- 160g flour
- 160g oat meal
- 170g margarine
- 130g sugar
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- Some prune or rhubarb jam
- Mix ingredients with your fingers and fill a round buttered and flour dusted cake form with most of it, flattening it into the form.
- Add prune or rhubarb jam onto the dough and crumble the rest of the dough on top.
- Bake at 200°C for 30 minutes.
NotesEvery husband loves this cake. Therefore it was given this name and is one of the old classic Icelandic cakes wives used to make if they wanted to spoil their husbands. It is not too sweet and goes greatly with a cup of coffee. And VIP not only husbands love this cake :-)
