OLD TIME ROQUESFORT DRESSING OR DIP
Old Time Roquesfort Dressing or Dip
- 3 ounces crumbled Roquefort cheese
- 1 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup mayonnaise
- 3 minced shallots
- 1 minced garlic clove
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- Freshly ground black pepper
Combine all of the ingredients in a medium bowl with a fork. Mix well, but do not overmix - the cheese should still be crumbly and the mixture will not be totally smooth
refrigerate for up to three days
when i was a child there was this steak house that my family would go too and I can't ever forget the salad dressing that was on the house salad. When i think of it I can still taste it. Ever since I've tried to find the perfect recipe. this is very close. Good on everything.
