Ingredients You'll Need
5-6 thinly sliced pork chops
that have been seasoned
with salt & pepper
2 Tblsp. veg. oil
1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup celery, finely chopped
1- 16 oz. can tomato sauce
1-1/2 cups water
2 Tblsp. sugar
1-1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup uncooked rice
Directions
In a large frying pan with sides or a dutch oven, place
veg. oil and heat. When heated, place in seasoned
pork chops and cook 4 -5 minutes per side
or until lightly browned.
Remove chops.
Add onion and celery and cook until translucent.
Stir in tomato sauce, water, sugar and salt.
Bring to a boil.
Stir in rice and reduce heat to low.
Place chops on top and cover.
Cook for 30 - 40 minutes on low until rice
is cooked through.
