Onion Cheese Bread
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1/2 cup milk
1 1/2 cups biscuit mix
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese divided
2 tsp dried parsley flakes
Preheat oven to 400 degrees lightly grease an 8 inch square baking pan.
In a small skillet, melt butter over medium high heat.
Add onion, and cook 3 minutes or until tender, set aside to cool
In a medium bowl combine egg and milk.
Gradually add biscuit mix, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.
Stir in cooked onion, 1/2 cup cheese and parsley.
Spread batter into pan sprinkle evenly with remaining cheese.
Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown
