2 Large Vidalia or regular onions, halved and thinly sliced
3/4 Cup milk
1 Stick margarine
1 Teaspoon salt
1/2 Teaspoon garlic powder
2 Cups all-purpose flour
4 Teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 Teaspoons sugar
Balsamic vinegar

Melt margarine and add onions, garlic powder and salt. Caramelize onions 30-45 minutes on low heat. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Mix flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar and cut in margarine. Add milk. On a floured surface, lightly knead into a ball. Divide in half, and repeat until 48 balls are formed. Using your thumb, indent each ball. Fill indentations with onion mixture. Bake 14-16 minutes until browned. Plate and add a splash of balsamic vinegar.
