Only Tastes Sinful Lenten Chocolate Cake

Serves 15-20 | Prep Time 5 min | Cook Time 45 min



3 C. flour
2 Tsp. baking soda
6 Tbs. unsweetened cocoa
1 Tsp. salt
2 C. sugar
3 Tbs. white vinegar
2 Tsp. vanilla extract
3/4 C. oil (vegetable or melted coconut)
2 C. cold water


2 C. powdered sugar
3 Tbs. liquid of choice (What do you like with chocolate? Try coconut cream, OJ, almond milk, strawberry juice, tropical juice blends, etc.)

Optional-1/2 Tsp.vanilla for extra dimension

Sift into large bowl the flour, soda, cocoa, salt, and sugar.

Add vanilla, oil and water and mix well.

Pour batter into 9X13 baking pan and bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until tests done.

While warm, mix up your icing ingredients and pour over the cake.

Now take yourself to confession for thinking about Robert Redford after eating.
