Ingredients

1 1/2 c. fresh squeezed orange juice (see Product Tips)
1/2 c. plus 2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. water
2 tbsp. Triple Sec

Heat the sugar and water together until the sugar is dissolved.

Add the Triple Sec.

Strain the orange juice into the pan to remove any seeds or pulp.

Pour the mixture into a shallow container and place in the freezer.

Freeze for 2 to 3 hours, stirring the mixture with a fork every 20 minutes or so. Break up the film that forms on the surface and crush any lumps; this creates granita's texture.

Serve before the mixture freezes solid.
