ORANGE SAUCE

Ingredients

  • 1 T cornstarch
  • 1/2 C sugar
  • 2 tsp grated orange peel
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 T lemon juice
  • 2 T butter

Directions

  • Mix cornstarch, sugar, peel and OJ.
  • Boil 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Add lemon juice and butter (and liqueur, if using)
  • Stir to incorporate and serve hot.

Notes

Very nice served over warm puddings, brownies and uniced cakes.

To make it alcoholic, reduce OJ by 1 T and add 1 T orange liqueur added along with butter.
