Why I Love This Recipe
Since I have always loved tomatoes, I decided to create an extraordinary salad with my favorite ingredient! I have been using my recipe for a few years now, and everyone in the family seems to adore it!
Ingredients You'll Need
-A Full Tomato or Handful of Cherry Tomatoes
-Cheddar Cheese Block
-Baked or Fried Basa Fillets
-1/4 of an Onion -1/2 cup Mint or Basil Leaves (optional)
-Grilled Red Bell Peppers
-Vinegar
-Olive Oil
-Lemon Juice
-Sugar
-Salt
-Pepper
Directions
To begin with, grab a handful of cherry tomatoes or 1 regular sized tomato and chop it up into bite-sized pieces. Then, cut off a quarter of an onion (Cut each ring off piece by piece). Grab 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and a few pinches of salt and olive oil, and stir them together in a mixing bowl. Take the tomatoes and onions that you chopped up previously, and let them soak in the mixture made in the mixing bowl for about 2-4 minutes. Next, combine the vinegar, olive oil, lemon juice and sugar together to create a dressing. Put it in the pouring container of your choice, and let it chill in the fridge until the salad is finished. Take the tomatoes and onion that you left to soak, and put them on your serving plate. Cut up some bite-sized blocks of cheddar cheese, and throw them on top of your onions and tomatoes. Now, take the baked or fried basa fillets, and cut them into slim pieces. Add those to the salad as well. Then, take the grilled bell peppers, and add them to the dish for some color and flavorful taste! Finally, take the dressing out of the fridge, and pour the preferred amount over your fresh salad. If you would like to, garnish your salad with some fresh, small mint or basil leaves. Toss the contents around a few times then mix them up with a spoon. Grab your bowl, sit on some lawn chairs by your porch, and enjoy this fresh, unique, beautiful, and flavorful salad by the sunlight!
