Original Hummus

  • Cooking Time: 7min
  • Servings: a gathering
  • Preparation Time: 10min
  • 2 cups canned chick peas, drained
  • 2/3 cup tahini
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp cumin
  • parsley for garnish
  • 2 tsp olive oil

DIRECTIONS

Put chick peas, lemon juice, tahini, garlic, garlic salt and cumin in food processor. Mix until smooth.


The hummus can be thinned out by adding a bit of oil or liquid from the can of chick peas.


Refrigerate.


sprinkle chopped parsley on top

Oh thanks for this original recipie. I just tried the real Hummus and now there is no turning back. :) Now I want to make it myself, look forward to try this out!
