Oven Baked French Toast

Ingredients

Toast:
½ cup melted butter
1/3 cup orange juice
1tbsp honey
4 eggs
1 loaf unsliced Vienna bread or 8 slices 1” thick bread

Sauce:
¾ cup butter
¼ cup brown sugar
2 tbsp honey
¼ tsp lemon juice


Pour melted butter into 15x10 jelly roll pan; cover bottom evenly. Place in refrigerator to chill. Whisk orange juice, honey, and eggs until well blended. Dip bread into egg mixture and lay out on prepared pan. Cover and refrigerate overnight.



Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Bake until bottom is golden brown, 8-10 minutes. Turn toast over and bake 7-98 minutes. While baking, make sauce by melting butter in pan over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in brown sugar, honey, lemon juice, and orange juice. Return to low heat and stir to blend and reheat (about 1 minute).
