Oven-Candied Sweet Potatoes
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. dark corn syrup
2 Tb. water
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
6 med. sweet potatoes, cooked and peeled
Melt butter. Stir in corn syrup, water, brown sugar and salt.
Cut potatoes in halves lengthwise. Dip in corn syrup mixture, coateing all sides. Place in 13X9X2" pan. Pour remaining syrup over top.
Bake in slow oven 325º 'til tender and glazed, about 1 hour and 15 min. Baste occasionally.
