OVERNIGHT COFFEE CAKE
Overnight Coffee Cake
You may bake this right away, instead of refrigerating overnight. It turns out just as well.
Very good ~ spicy and moist

INGREDIENTS
- 2/3 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp cloves
- dash nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp soda
- 1 tsp baking pwd
- 1 cup buttermilk
DIRECTIONS
Combine all of the above ingredients in a large bowl with an electric mixer. (This does not work well, unless you use an electric mixer. It needs volume.)
Beat on low speed until moistened. Beat on medium-high speed for 3 minutes.
Pour into a greased and floured 9x13” pan.
