Pace Picante Beef & Beans
2 tbsp. cornstarch
2 tbsp. water
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 lb. boneless beef sirloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 tbsp. chili powder
3/4 cup Pace® Picante Sauce
1 can (about 16 ounces) black beans
1 can (about 15 ounces) pinto beans
1 can (about 14 1/2 ounces) stewed tomatoes
MIX cornstarch and water until smooth. Set aside.
HEAT oil in saucepot. Add beef and chili powder and cook until beef is browned and juices evaporate, stirring often.
ADD picante sauce, black beans, pinto beans and tomatoes. Heat to a boil. Cover and cook over low heat 5 min. or until beef is done.
STIR cornstarch mixture and add. Cook until mixture boils and thickens, stirring constantly.
