Pasta with Tuna Sauce
12 oz. pasta
2 tbsp. olive oil
3 cloves garlic, chopped
1/4 cup red wine
1 28 oz. can of whole Italian tomatoes
3 tsp. capers
1 can tuna, drained
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp. butter
Boil a pot of water for pasta.
Saute garlic in olive oil until soft.
Deglaze pan with wine and reduce in half.
Add can of tomatoes and simmer for 30 minutes
Use an immersion blender to puree tomatoes.
Add capers, tuna, salt, and butter.
Simmer for 20 minutes.
Add pasta to sauce and toss.
