INGREDIENTS
- 500 gr (1lbs) penne or rigatoni or bucatoni pasta
- 500 gr (1lbs)lean ground meat(beef)
- 4 tbs melted butter
- 1/2 c olive oil
- 1 bay leave
- 1 big onion chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 c parsley chopped
- 1/2 c dry white wine
- 1 can diced tomatoes with juice (concasse)
- 1 tbs tomato paste
- 1 cinnamon stick ca 5 cm (2")
- 3 1/2 c grated cheese (kefalotiri, parmesan and pecorino) or one of them.
- For bechamel sauce:
- 4 tbs bread crumbs
- 6 tbs butter
- 1/3 c flour
- 3 c milk
- 1/2 ts salt
- 1/8 ts pepper
- 1/4 ts nutmeg
- 3 eggs
- salt and pepper to taste
