Patty Jean is my mom that raised me and basically taught me to cook for a crowd. This is her crowd pleaser Baked Beans..I have updated them just a little by adding some garlic ( because you never can go wrong with garlic) and doing this Pot Luck style in a crock pot.

This was used for my annual Rib Fest

Special equipment: Large crockpot with removal pot preferred.

Crock Pot setting: Low cooking overnight, up to 16 hours


  • 3 large cans of pork and beans
  • 1/2 bag brown sugar
  • 1/4 C maple syrup
  • 1-2 cloves garlic
  • 1 T liquid smoke
  • 1/2 C ketsup
  • 1 lb bacon, diced and fried until soften
  • 1 Large onion, diced and fried with bacon until soften.


  • Place all your ingredients in Large crock pot on lowest setting for overnight, up to 16 hours
