PECAN MONKEY BREAD

Ingredients

  • * 4 cans refrigerated biscuits
  • * 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • * 1 1/2 sticks butter (3/4 cup)
  • * 1/2 cup white sugar
  • * 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • * 1/2 cup halved pecans

Directions

  • 1. preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • 2. in a plastic bag, combine brown sugar and cinnamon
  • 3. tear or cut each biscuit into 4 pieces
  • 4. put about 8 pieces in the plastic bag with sugar-cinnamon mix
  • 5. shake to coat and place pieces into a roll pan or cake pan
  • 6. scatter some pecans among the pieces
  • 7. repeat process with the rest of the biscuit pieces and continue scattering pecan pieces until all pecans and biscuit pieces are in the pan
  • 8. in a saucepan heat butter and brown sugar until boiling.
  • 9. pour butter and brown sugar mix over the top of the pieces in the pan and bake for 35 minutes or so
  • 10. allow to cool and place onto a plate to serve, garnish with pecans
