Why I Love This Recipe

My mom's recipe, which she will proudly tell you calls for pure maple syrup!


Ingredients You'll Need

3 eggs
1 cup pure maple syrup
1 t. vanilla
1 cup dark brown sugar
2 T. flour
1/4 stick melted butter
3/4+ cup pecans, roughly chopped
9" pie shell (frozen)
pecan halves for decorating top of pie


Directions

beat eggs, syrup, sugar, flour, butter, and vanilla - blend well


mix in the chopped pecans


pour mixture into pie shell


decorate top of pie with pecan halves


bake 45 minutes at 350


let set


*note - If you're like me and enjoy an extra nutty pecan pie so I usually add almost a full cup of chopped pecans to the mixture, which usually causes it so overflow while baking, providing a somewhat carmelized crust. For easy clean up bake pie on cookie sheet.
