INGREDIENTS

  • Cooking Time: 50
  • 1 stick real butter (no margarine)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 Cup white Karo syrup
  • 1 Cup sugar
  • 1 Cup pecans halves
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • Pinch of salt

DIRECTIONS

Brown butter over medium heat (this is the secret of this pie).


Beat eggs well and add other ingredients. Mix well. Add pecans and pour into pastry shell.


Bake 10 minutes at 425 degrees. Reduce heat to 325-350 degrees and bake 40 minutes more.


Makes 1 pie
