Serves 24 | Prep Time 45 | Cook Time 24


1/2 cup soft Butter
3 oz Cream Cheese
1/4 cup Sugar
1 cup Flour
2 Tb melted Butter
3/4 cup Brown Sugar
1 Egg
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 cup chopped Pecans
Powder Sugar for dusting Tasties

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Use 2 mini muffin pans.

To make dough:

Using a hand or electric mixer, cream butter and cream cheese, adding sugar until fluffy. Stir in flour, making a ball and refrigerate for 15 minutes.

Using a teaspoon,roll dough into a 1 inch ball and use your floured fingertips to shape into 24 mini cupcake cups and put in refrigerator.

To make filling:

Add butter, brown sugar, egg(lightly beaten),vanilla extract and pecans. Mix well.

Remove pans from refrigerator and fill each cup to top.

Bake for 24 minutes. Remove from oven,cool in pans for 3 minutes. Take out of cups and sprinkle with powder sugar.

I don't remember where I found this recipe years ago, but have been making these delicious little tarts for years at Christmas time.
