Penne with Tomato Cream Sauce

6 oz. penne pasta, uncooked
olive oil or cooking spray
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 - 14 & 1/2 oz can diced recipe-ready tomatoes, undrained
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/4 tsp freshly ground pepper
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp all-purpose flour
1/4 cup evaporated milk

Cook pasta according to package directions, then drain and set aside.

Coat a large non-stick skillet with cooking spray or olive oil and place over medium-high heat until hot. Add the onion and garlic, and saute until the onion is translucent. Add tomato and the remaining ingredients. Bring mixture to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes.

Add pasta, stirring well. Cook over medium heat 2 to 3 minutes

or until thoroughly heated.
