INGREDIENTS

  • 1-1/2 cups half & half cream
  • 1-3/4 cups heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp. peppermint extract
  • Pinch salt
  • 1 tsp. red food coloring
  • 1 cup crushed peppermint candy

DIRECTIONS

Pour heavy cream and half & half into bowl or pitcher. Add sugar, salt, peppermint extract, and food coloring. Stir thoroughly. Chill well. Pour into ice cream maker. When mixture has almost reached desired consistency, add peppermint candy.
