Petjil Nanas - Sweet pinapple relish - Indonesia
1 whole pineapple, cut in wedges or 1 14 ounce can pineapple chunks, drained
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 small onion, sliced
1 hot red pepper, diagonally sliced
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3 tablespoons gula djawa (palm sugar)
Heat oil in a skillet and fry onion and red pepper for 2 minutes. Add all other ingredients and cook for 10 minutes.
