PICKLED FISH
INGREDIENTS
- Cooking Time: 5
- Preparation Time: 10
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 5/8 cup pickling salt
- Pickling juice:
- 1/2 cup sherry (20%)
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1/4 of a small box pickling spices
DIRECTIONS
Cut fish into bite size pieces
Pack in jar
Combine 1 cup vinegar and pickling salt
Cover and refrigerate 5 full days
Rinse well and soak in cold water 1 hour
Combine pickling juice ingredients and heat to dissolve sugar
Pack fish and onions in jar, cover with pickling juice
Ready in 24 hours
