Why I Love This Recipe


Ingredients You'll Need

1 pound hamburger
1 onion, chopped
1 can sauerkraut
2 egg
Salt and pepper
1 1/2 cups minute rice or precooked raw rice
Head of cabbage
Quart of canned tomatoes


Directions

Take core out of a head of cabbage. Bring to a boil in a large kettle of water. Add 1 teaspoon salt and put in cabbage and cook until soft and easy to break apart. Pull off loose leaves and place on a cookie sheet. Mix together hamburger, onion, sauerkraut, eggs, rice, salt and pepper. Stuff each leave with a ball of hamburger mixture about the size of an egg. Lay each roll side by side in pan. Pour one quart of tomatoes over them and bake in the oven at 325 degrees for two hours.
