PINEAPPLE UPSIDE DOWN CAKE.

  • Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar.
  • 1/4 cup oleo.
  • Pineapple slices.
  • Cherries and nuts.
  • 1 1/4 cup flour.
  • 3/4 cup milk.
  • 1/2 tsp. salt.
  • 1/4 cup Shortening.
  • 1 tsp. vanilla.
  • 2 tsp. baking powder.
  • 1 cup sugar.
  • 1 egg.

Directions

  • Melt butter and add to cake pan.
  • Sprinkle brown sugar on top.
  • Arrange pineapple slices/syrup and place cherries and in center of pineapples.
  • sprinkle nuts over top.
  • In separate bowl sift flower, baking powder, sugar and salt.
  • Add shortening and milk.
  • Beat for 1 minute.
  • Add vanilla and egg.
  • Beat until smooth.
  • Spoon batter over pineapple slices.
  • Bake at 350.
