PITA TOPPED WITH HUMMUS AND LAMB

Backstory

Ingredients

  • lamb
  • lemon thyme
  • garlic
  • grated lemon peel
  • olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • thinly sliced onions
  • pita
  • hummus
  • thinly sliced cucumbers
  • garnish:
  • lemon thyme
  • grape tomatoes

Directions

  • Marinade the lamb with lemon thyme, garlic, grated lemon peel, olive oil, salt and pepper for at least 30 minutes.
  • Cook marinated lamb and thinly sliced onions on a very hot griddle for 2-3 minutes, turning to brown the meat quickly and carmelize the onions. Remove and keep warm.
  • Next, place the pita on the flatplate and warm on both sides. Spread pita generously with hummus, top with thinly sliced cucumbers, lamb and garnish with lemon thyme and grape
