POLISH CREAM CHEESE COFFEE CAKE

Ingredients

  • Dough:
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 16 oz. sour cream
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • Filling:
  • 1 lb cream cheese
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • Topping:
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. chopped pecans

Directions

  • Grease 9x13 pan.
  • Heat Oven to 350°
  • Make Dough:
  • Cream butter, egg and sugar.
  • Add vanilla and sour cream.
  • Stir in dry ingredients.
  • Spread 1/2 of dough in pan. Dough will be sitcky. Pat with floured fingers
  • Make Filling:
  • Mix filling ingredients together and spoon over dough.
  • Add Remaining Dough:
  • Drop remaining dough over filling by spoonfuls; it will spread while baking.
  • Make Toppping:
  • Mix first 3 topping ingredients; sprinkle over cake.
  • Sprinkle chopped pecans over topping.
  • Bake:
  • Bake for 45 minutes.

Notes

I found this recipe online, I don't remember where, and tweaked it a bit to make it a little more moist than the original.
