PORK ROLL, EGG AND CHEESE BREAKFAST SANDWICH

Ingredients

  • 1 slice Taylor Pork Roll
  • 1 egg
  • 1 slice American cheese
  • 1 Kaiser roll or English Muffin

Directions

  • Cut small slits around edges of pork roll to prevent it from curling. Sauté it for several minutes in a frying pan. Remove pork roll to warm plate.
  • Fry egg, unbroken, in a small amount of butter in a non-stick pan until white is set. Break yolk and flip egg over. Cook until almost firm, top with a slice of American cheese and continue to cook over low heat until cheese melts.
  • Place egg and pork roll onto a lightly toasted Kaiser roll or English muffin. Salt and pepper to taste and pour a small amount of ketchup on top of pork roll and egg. Yield: 1 sandwich. Don’t omit the ketchup…it’s a must. Makes 1 sandwich
