- 4 tbsp oil
- 6 large red potatoes
- 1 large onion
- 3 eggs (beaten)
- 1 tbsp matzah meal
- 1.5 tsp salt
- dash pepper
- Turn oven on to 400F degrees. Grease a 9 inch square pan with 3 tablespoons of oil and put into oven. While that warms up grate the potato and onions into a bowl, add the matzha meal, salt/pepper and one tablespoon oil. Carefully add this to your hot pan and put back into the oven.
- Reduce the heat to 350F and cook for about an hour. As the kugel cooks take the oil that bubbles up and baste the top with it.
