Pumpkin Pecan Bars

Ingredients

CRUST:
1 1/2 stick melted butter
3/4 cup flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup finely chopped pecans

PUMPKIN LAYER:
1 cup canned pumpkin
1/3 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp ground cloves

PECAN LAYER:
2/3 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup finely chopped toasted pecans


PREHEAT oven to 350° F. Mix all crust ingredents well and pat into the bottom of a glass 13 9 baking dish. Bake about 10-15 minutes, until lightly browned. Remove from oven.


FOR PUMPKIN LAYER:


Mix pumpkin, sugar, egg and spices in bowl; stir well. Spread over bottom of crust.


FOR PECAN LAYER:


Mix corn syrup, sugar, eggs, butter and vanilla in bowl; stir in nuts. Spoon over pumpkin layer.


BAKE for 50 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack.
