Pumpkin Pie Cake
1 large can pumpkin
1 can evaporated milk, 13 ounces
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup sugar
1 pkg yellow cake mix
1 cup chopped walnuts (or pecans)
3/4 cup butter, melted (1 1/2 sticks)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Lightly grease a 9 X 13 inch cake pan.
Blend pumpkin, milk, eggs, spices, sugar, and salt in a medium bowl; beat until thoroughly mixed.
Pour pumpkin mixture into prepared pan.
Sprinkle the cake mix and nuts over the pumpkin mixture.
Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix.
Bake for 35 minutes, then lower the oven temperature to 325 degrees and bake for 15 more.
